SureCare Chester is a quality home care provider and we are recruiting a dedicated and committed care coordinator to join our dynamic team based in Chester.We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to grow with our company.The role of a care coordinator is one of the most important roles within the company, involving the care and support of all clients and Care Assistants.The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and allocation of care calls for care Assistants using scheduling software. Care Assistants are assigned to service users, according to SureCare policies and procedures, and the care coordinator then works to ensure that all care calls are filled on a daily basis as well as when there are times of staff sickness, holiday or emergencies.The care coordinator’s role will involve:Matching and assigning Care Assistants to clientsLiaising with and providing support to Team Leaders and the Registered ManagerResponsibility for certain data input relating to specified area as changes occurEnsuring that holiday/sickness and emergency calls are assigned and recordedPreparation of reports and handling emergency incidents as requiredTo assist with the running of the out of hours on-call service as requiredRecruiting of Care AssistantsKey competencies of the Care Coordinator include:To be able to plan and allocate the workload of care staffTo be able to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsTo be able to prepare accurate reports and efficiently handle emergency incidents as requiredGood communication skills and time managementSound understanding of good care principlesAbility to cope under pressureCalm and patientAbility to display empathy and understandingFlexible and reliableThe Care Coordinator must:Hold a full driving licenseLive local to Chester in order to attend to on-call servicesExcellent planning, organisational skills and strong administration experienceSkills in care planningDesirable qualities of the care coordinator:NVQ 3Experience as a supervisor or senior care worker or care coordinator within a Domiciliary care environment.This is a full-time position and requires being part of an on-call service.If you are looking for an exciting new opportunity with the chance to further your career and experience, then please apply.
