Care Assistant - Child Complex Care Package (Days - OHC76)

Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced *Female Healthcare Assistant* to support this 1-year-old girl at her home in Plymouth. She has severe global development delay and drug resistant epilepsy. This little girl also has difficulty feeding, vocal cord palsy, dystonia and severe progressive scoliosis. She is non-verbal and has no mobility.
She lives at home with her mum and dog, Jeremy. She loves calmness and cuddles, and Jeremy can often be found sitting next to her.
*You will be working 1:1*
The ideal candidate would be a resilient, seasoned carer with a solid understanding of personal care, and experience with moving and handling. Experience working with children is essential along with caring for people with Epilepsy. Bi-Pap and PEG are also required skills.
*You need to be an experienced carer.* It is not essential that you have specific experience working with complex needs as you will get all the training you need. You will be trained and supported by our outstanding team of specialists and nurses. This will involve training and shadowing until one of our nurses is happy to sign you off as competent. *Training is paid for.*
*Pay Rates*:
* *£13.50 p/hr Monday - Friday*
* *£16.05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday*
* *£29.05 p/hr Bank Holidays*
*Shifts:*
*Various 8 hours between 9am - 8pm, 1 shift per week - Bank Contract*
It's vital that we have staff consistency and so you will be required to pick up a minimum number of shifts. You will be able to pick up more shifts each week if you would like to. Weekday shifts and Weekend shifts are available. Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.
*Full mileage paid from home to this location in Plymouth up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.*
