The Regulatory Risk and Oversight Manager will work with business unit stakeholders to mitigate regulatory risk by supporting the actions required to achieve compliance, traceability and operational readiness. This role will include engagement with senior leaders within the business and supporting areas, collaboration with first and second line regulatory change and compliance functions, and communication with regulators. Therefore, excellent communication skills and knowledge of the Capital Markets business are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesComplete the organizational design of the Capital Markets Regulatory Change TeamProvide leadership and guidance to the teamRepresent and advocate for Capital Markets at industry and internal regulatory forumsEnhance the regulatory change control environment through the adoption of procedures for identifying, assessing and implementing regulatory changeSupport the ongoing development of frameworks, enhanced standards and related procedural documentationStays abreast of regulatory changes that may impact Capital Markets globallyConsult on new product, process and client opportunities providing guidance on the regulatory impacts and respective risk profile changesLiaises with senior risk, compliance, legal and regulatory change partnersKnowledge/SkillsExpert knowledge ofregulations, regulatory change, and regulatory oversight including the specific regulatory regimes governing Capital marketsAbility to identify problems, develop, communicate and implement solutions as neededCapable of analyzing, simplifying and explaining complex issues in non-technical language.Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact and manage expectations with senior level audiences, stakeholders and managementStrong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing prioritiesExcellent interpersonal skills displaying the ability to engage diverse set of stakeholders, understand their viewpoints, build long-term relationships, create a collaborative and inspirational environment within the teamAbility to influence and persuade others, implement change, and drive decision making across a complex organizational structureExperience PreferredExtensive years of related experience in financial services, with a solid understanding of Capital Markets and its global regulatory obligations preferredMulti-discipline management experience preferable.Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
