Capital/Leasing Accountant

We seek a�Capital/Leasing Accountant�to support a public sector client with its implementation of IFRS16 Leases.

The Capital/Leasing Accountant�will have demonstrable experience in lease accounting, preferably with experience in the IFRS16 requirements.

The Capital/Leasing Accountant must�adapt the client's�existing Lease Register to ensure compliance with IFRS16 and support the Chief Accountant with the first-time adoption disclosure requirements for the�statutory accounts.

The Capital/Leasing Accountant�will also help to support the budget realignment required on lease rental payments, so experience in communicating with finance and non-finance colleagues is also essential.

Previous experience working in a Local Government finance team would be preferable, given the specific accounting rules within the sector.
