Capital Actuary, Top Quartile Syndicate

Join a top quartile syndicate as a Capital Actuary, reporting into the Head of Capital! This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the business by building out the capital team, accelerating model development, enhancing capital output analytics and diagnostics, and supporting various model use initiatives. You'll have the chance to work in a small, friendly, experienced team with big ambitions, focusing on quality and efficiency, and have accessibility to data, technology, software, and key stakeholders, including the C-suite and Board.
Your responsibilities will include helping building out the capital team, accelerating model development, enhancing capital output analytics and diagnostics, and supporting model use initiatives such as reinsurance and ALM. You'll need to quickly grasp the model/TCM, demonstrate good intuition when analysing model outputs, and employ a creative and smart approach to driving output analysis and diagnostics. Effective communication of complicated outcomes, perseverance when investigating issues, and the ability to work well under pressure and step up when needed are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a team of 10 (reserving/capital/risk), with a flexible working arrangement. Experience using off-the-shelf modelling software, such as Tyche (preferable but not essential), and being newly or nearly qualified are advantageous.
