We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a CAMHS Neuro Consultant to work for a private outpatient clinic based in London. This is a part-time role, providing ADHD/ASD assessments to CAMHS patients.

This client is flexible on the days worked and will also accept weekends. The postholder will spend 50% of the time in the clinic and the rest working from home.

Salary: Averaging £300 per hour (Self employed basis)

Position: CAMHS Neuro Consultant

Hours: Part time (flexible with remote working)

Setting: Private outpatient clinic

Location: London

For this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessments and ongoing treatment for children/adolescents and/or adults (depending on experience); primarily with neurodevelopmental conditions (such as ADHD); and associated emotional dysregulation.
  • Patient mix approx. 80% ADHD, 15% Autism, 5% Other.
  • Working as a multi-disciplinary team to undertake Autism assessments (ADIR / ADOS-2) with psychologist and occupational therapist when required.
  • You will be encouraged to influence the future direction of our services. * All admin aspects (typing/transcribing, appointment booking, billing, insurance liaison) taken care of, so you can focus on your clinic.
  • All repeat prescribing done for you.
  • No on-calls.

For this role, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Seeking candidate who can provide 1 to 2.5 clinic days per week, depending on their other commitments. Candidate will be required to do report reading/verbal dictations outside these clinic days. Ideal Candidate
  • On GMC specialist register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or another specialist register but with strong CAMHS experience.
  • Some previous experience within the private healthcare sector desirable.
  • Demonstration of longevity in previous roles.
  • Keen interest and experience in neurodevelopmental (ADHD and Autism) conditions.
  • Highly approachable bedside manner.
  • Highly confident and collaborative in approach with families.
  • Extremely well organised and time efficient.
  • Prompt with completing all verbal dictations and correcting them.
