OBD Calibration Engineer





We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated OBD Calibration Engineer to join our automotive engineering team. As an OBD Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and calibrating On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems for our vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, test engineers, and vehicle integration teams to ensure that our vehicles meet regulatory requirements and deliver exceptional performance.

Responsibilities:



- Develop and calibrate OBD strategies for engine management systems



- Analyze and interpret data from vehicle testing and diagnostic tools to identify issues and potential solutions



- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements to the OBD system



- Conduct emissions testing and validation of OBD systems



- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to OBD calibration



- Provide technical support to manufacturing, service, and field engineering teams





Qualifications:



- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field



- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive calibration or related field



- Strong knowledge of engine management systems and on-board diagnostics (OBD)



- Experience with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, or similar software



- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as CANape or CANalyzer



- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)



- Knowledge of emissions regulations (EPA, CARB) and certification processes is preferred



- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
