Dyno Test Engineer - Team Leader, Automotive , Essex, £NEG + Benefits
Unknown Resourcing is seeking a Dyno Test Engineer – Team Leader / Dyno Test Team Lead to join our R&D Engineering client in Essex. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work on future Powertrain technology development projects in new exciting sectors.
Dyno Test Engineer - Team Leader, Automotive Responsibilities:
· Support dynamometer test based project activities, including the removal, replacement, adjustment of any equipment or systems as required.
· Work from verbal direction, written instructions, sketches, 3D CAD models and detail drawings.
· Define and procure necessary hardware/software to support projects.
· Utilising computer based systems, produce the necessary reports for evaluation and/or validation.
· Ensure all equipment is serviced, maintained and calibrated to the required standards for certification.
· Setup and adapt the dynamometer automation system for each application following engineering best practices and customer specifications, e.g.: configuration of system channels, filters, combustion analysis system, calibration tools.
· Specify and orient the instrumentation of internal combustion engines and related components.
· Check and sign off of test data and maintenance of data accessibility.
· Debug and arrange support for solution and test cell equipment.
· Ensure all Health and Safety Procedure are adhered to at all times.
· Assist with other duties within your skill set as required.
Dyno Test Engineer - Team Leader, Automotive Requirements:
· Experience in engine testing.
· Self-starting
· Experience of hydrogen systems is an advantage but not required
· Experience with dyno automation systems (A&D iTest desirable)
· Experience with Combustion analysis systems (A&D CAS Desirable)
· Knowledge in script writing/programming
· Experience with data analysis (AVL Concerto desirable)
· Experience with calibration tool e.g.: ETAS INCA, ATI Vision
· Knowledge of common communication protocols and interfaces e.g.: Serial RS232, ASAP3, AK, CAN.
· Experience using MS Excel
· Knowledge of basic electronics
· Eager to learn and share knowledge
· Experienced problem solver
· Ability to self-manage and work under pressure to deliver in an ever-changing and dynamic environment.
