Cafeteria Supervisor (Temporary to Permanent) - Slough @ £12.75 p/h



We are currently assisting one of our clients in the Slough Bath road area in recruiting a temporary to permanent Supervisor for a high-end business town centre cafeteria.



Job Role: As the Supervisor, your day will start at 07.00 or 08.00 and end at 15.00 or 16.00, Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 scheduled hours per week. You will be responsible for supervising a small team, providing training, maintaining high standards, and managing the cafeteria unit on a daily basis. Working alongside 3 chefs 1kp managing a team of 3 front of house catering assistants



Responsibilities:




  • Oversee daily cafeteria operations for smooth and efficient service

  • Ensure the cafeteria is ready for service with all necessary preparations completed

  • Meet and exceed daily sales targets and customer expectations

  • Accurately bill customers for sales and balance end-of-day reports

  • Ensure menu items are freshly made to standard, and beverages are dispensed promptly

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes

  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally



Qualifications:




  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in food service supervisory roles in the UK

  • Allergen and level 2 food safety certificate

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite



Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience as a supervisor in a catering establishment, including food preparation, with a current Allergen and food safety level 2 certification.



Terms: This is a temporary to permanent position. You will be employed as a temp until your vetting is approved, paid every Friday for approximately 12 weeks before transitioning to full-time employment.

  • Proof of Bank Details
