We are a social enterprise committed to supporting coffee growing communities in Colombia, by roasting and selling single origin Colombian coffees and retail bags at our four sites across London. We are looking for a supervisor who will be the most senior staff member at our brick & mortar cafe in the heart of Soho, on Greek Street. The cafe has been in operation for two and a half years, and we are looking for a supervisor with acute business awareness to help us drive sales and implement business strategy on the ground, whilst making sure the cafe is running smoothly on a daily basis.

Job responsibilities:
Work as a Barista whilst on shift, ensuring that customers are greeted and served in a friendly and timely manner.
Ensure that SOPs are being followed in each area of the café to maintain consistency and guarantee legal compliance with food safety regulations (ensure employees are making coffees and communicating with customers correctly).
Complete weekly stock check and monthly stock control procedures, passing this information onto the General Manager.
Liaise with the Roastery Supervisor and the General Manager so that roasted coffee and other stock is internally-transferred to the café each week.
Understand and implement training programmes for new staff members.
Jump in where necessary to support the rest of the CCCC team during lunch breaks, and days when we are short-staffed.
Liaise with the business owner and General Manager on a fortnightly basis to discuss operational improvements and how to action them.
Help the business owner and General Manager to action business decisions and implement marketing strategies in the cafe.
Oversee staff satisfaction and performance in order to achieve key performance indicators.
Manage the cafe space, effectively rotating tables and leading a team in the most vibrant and high-energy part of London.
Skills and experience:
Minimum of 2 years working as a supervisor or manager in a Food and Beverage setting, or 1 year working as a supervisor in Speciality Coffee.
Clear understanding of Food Safety guidelines & procedures, with Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
Baseline understanding of Microsoft office, including excel.
An exacting personality committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
Natural leader willing to inspire and support others.
(bonus skills & experience) Category B Drivers Licence.
*In particular, the right candidate will have experience growing a business as a supervisor or manager and will be proficient in interpreting Profit & Loss Reports. It is important that you have worked in a small-business environment in the past, driving business strategy within an operation*
