An outstanding opportunity in Preston for a Chartered Building Services Consultants looking for a CAD Manager. You will be working for a dual office consultant who operate nationwide and have an exceptional reputation in the sector. Priding themselves on their ability to deliver projects, adapt where required to changing requirements as well as having a customer centred approach and internally seek to maintain a strong staff retention. The biggest draw to this opportunity is to progress onto Revit MEP in a short space of time without having the requirement to be able to use it upon joining. Also the prospect of working on a variety of projects in a variety of sectors is a strong pull for this consultancy.

With previous Building Services experience, you will have experience of producing 2D AutoCAD layouts and schematics. The role will be predominantly AutoCAD based with the aforementioned opportunity to grow with the business into the use of Revit MEP in the future. You will also be given the opportunity to do site surveys and provide assistance in other areas like laser scanning and building surveys etc.

The schemes that are currently being developed are Public, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial and Residential projects in the North West region. You will produce engineering drawings, run the document control elements of the role and help to set the standards and maintain them within the department.

This role is open to a Building Services AutoCAD Technician ready to step up to CAD Management or an existing CAD Manager within Building Services Engineering who already carries experience in the role. You will need some qualifications in Building Services or M&E and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of AutoCAD drawings in relation to Building Services.

With good social events that happen within Preston and further afield this engineering business has developed a strong social element. Hybrid working is not discouraged but this role will start full time in the office with a sensible approach to Hybrid working down the road.
