CAD Engineer

Role: CAD Engineer
Location: Nottingham Onsite
Salary: up to £35k DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday Early finish Friday 1pm
Type: Permanent
An established Manufacturing business are looking for an experienced Cad Engineer to join their Projects team on a full-time permanent basis.
We are looking for someone who has the following experience and qualifications
Technical Engineering certificate qualified in relevant engineering discipline or relevant industry experience
Knowledge of relevant software especially AutoCAD, MS Word,Excel and Visio
Experience in a similar role
Proficient in the use of 2D Auto CAD drawing package
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
What will you be doing?
Working in conjunction with project and product design engineers to create AUTO CAD drawings of products and system designs for example: Equipment General Arrangement drawings, System block diagrams, System cabling termination drawings , Equipment internal wiring drawings , Wiring schedules , Mechanical assembly drawings, Metalwork manufacturing drawings , Bills of materials , Pre contract drawings
Working with product designers and project engineers to assist with equipment build, ensuring that equipment is built in accordance with drawings and schedules
Filing away drawings in accordance with company procedures taking into account any project / product requirements
Ensuring that the requirements of the company ISO 9000 quality systems are adhered to at all times
