Cabling Supervisor/Cabling Team Lead (ECS/CSCS)

Cabling Supervisor/Cabling Team Lead (ECS/CSCS) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 3 months rolling contract, to be based in Heathrow, UK. Candidates must be able to work 5 days on-site (Heathrow) and work a mix of days and nights. Valid CSCS or ECS required.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• The Cabling Supervisor/Communications Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of implementation projects across the campus in the installation of physical infrastructure and active network equipment, internally and externally.
• Must be able to work 5 days on-site and work a mix of days and nights.
• CSCS/ECS/SSSTS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work.
• Will have a background in supervising teams on large-scale construction projects
• Completion of Point of work Risk assessments. Extensive health and safety experience
• Ensure inspections of all equipment by qualified/competent persons are completed before use.
• Oversee the Data Cabling Engineers responsible for cable pulling, dressing in and termination & testing of voice, CAT6 and fibre cables.
• Installing comms cables (CAT6, Voice and Fibre multicore. Termination of CAT6 panels and outlets. Patching cat6 and fibre cables - Fault Finding issues.
• Installing of various types of containment (tray / basket)
• Termination of multicore Fibre using a splicer
• Testing copper & fibre cables using Fluke DSX and OTDR preferred
• Completing the Point of Works Risk Assessments. Identify and highlight both H&S and implementation risks/issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Can demonstrate previous roles with similar level of supervisory experience. Can successfully manage a team.
• Can demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices.
• Cabling and physical Infrastructure installation
