Job Title:  C&I DCS Engineer

Location: UK Wide (Outage Team)

Salary: Competitive salary up to £70K pa DOE with annual reviews

Hours: Flexible (Mon - Fri 8am-5pm)

Job Overview:

Join our clients high-profile Asset Support and Outage Excellence Team, key players in supporting power plant projects, outages, and maintenance activities across the UK. Be part of their mission to ensure the UK's power supply security and help our client become a world-class leader.

We're looking for flexible, enthusiastic individuals who are self motivated and demonstrate ownership of complex C&I and DCS Engineering.

Exciting time to work with diverse power plant technology on advanced stations, supporting the UK's generating assets at a massive scale. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for delivering projects and outages working with the Asset operations & management.

- Ensure work targets and objectives are met with a focus on safety, time, cost, quality, and compliance.

- Technical design and delivery of low to high-risk improvement projects.

- Lead project teams, maintain stakeholder relationships, and deliver project charters.

- Manage health, safety, security, and environmental aspects.

- Contribute to safety performance, maintenance, and warranty.

- Support staff development and industry best practices.

- Maintain project cost data and ensure safety compliance.

- Identify ways to improve technical and procedural aspects.

Essential Experience:

- Applied experience in power plant control, protection systems, fault finding and risk management.

- Thorough knowledge of Instrumentation & DCS Systems including troubleshooting, calibration, and replacement.

- Understanding of power station operations and regulations.

- Contract management skills and strong interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards. IOSH/NEBOSH would be desirable.

- Technical knowledge and experience in maintenance practices.

- Full driving license required to have flexibility to travel to other UK sites when required.

Desirable:

- Degree qualified in a C&I DCS related discipline, HND, or have experience of at least 15/20 years within Engineering.

- Use of lean tools to resolve engineering issues to root cause level.

- Management of DCS and PLC systems.

- Management of alarms and simulations

- Knowledge of Safety Related Systems and Cyber Security.

- Competence in using SAP-based systems.

- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
