Buying Assistant

We are looking for a Buying Assistant to join our growing team.
The role:
·
Maintaining the Critical Path and communicating with suppliers to ensure that we meet each key date in the trading calendar and the product runs on time
·
Managing and keeping track of a high volume of samples, through fit sessions, development, shoots and sign off meetings
·
Accurately raising purchase orders in line with supplier/brand deadlines, and managing these throughout the product lifecycle to ensure the range plan is fully up to date
·
Working closely with Merchandising, Design, Production, Technical, Marketing and your Brands/Suppliers daily
·
Delivering efficient administrative support to the team across Buying and Merch, to ensure that everything runs smoothly, and that relevant reports and files are always kept up to date
·
Conducting regular comp shops to understand competitor activity, identifying opportunities for the department and presenting back ideas to the team
·
Attending relevant systems and soft skills training, to drive your development
·
Assisting with Wholesale and Franchise queriers and purchase orders
The successful Buying Assistant will:

Supporting your Buying team with product development that is customer focused and aligns with the wider business strategy
·
A keen eye for evolving trends and the competitor marketplace
·
Be organized, able to use their initiative and to work in a fast-paced environment
·
Be hardworking and tenacious with great attention to detail, to ensure all the important details such as selling price, shipment dates and product attributes are precise
·
Adaptable to change
·
Be educated in a Buying/Fashion based higher education is desired
·
Bring a great energy to their role with a passion for what they do
·
Is confident using MS Office and learning new systems
