Buyer

A company based in Derby with over 100 years of experience in their field, are looking for a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will play an integral role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will involve working closely alongside other areas of the business to ensure cost effective buying, suitably timed for production/customer orders.

Duties include:

• Knowledge of import laws and regulations


• Dealing with suppliers and supply chain in the UK and overseas


• Negotiating prices


• Run MRP for stocked parts


• Expedite orders to ensure all goods arrive by wanted date


• Schedule orders and materials based on stock and allocations.


• Maintain supply price lists


• Action Non-Stocked Requisitions


• Highlight cost saving opportunities

The Buyer must have experience of import as well as good supply chain knowledge.� You will also work well in a fast-paced environment and have a high attention to detail.

In return you will be offered a salary of �28,000 - �32,000 depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with an hour for lunch; this is fully office based. Also, you will be offered 25 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays
