Industry: ElectronicsSalary: From £35,000paLocation: LetchworthWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering / Technical Buyer, to work for a company who are at the forefront of the Electronics / Manufacturing industry.This role has been created to support a number of senior buyers who are primarily responsible for material supply to the production teams.You will work in a small and intricate Purchasing team, with your general responsibilities focussing around the purchasing and sourcing of electronics components, PCB's, and other commodities for various projectsIf you are looking to move into a diverse and exciting role, and would like to work for a business who are a global supplier of PCB's and Electronics Assemblies, please read on and apply!Buyer Requirements:The ideal candidate will have procurement experience within the Electronics industry, ideally from a CEM or business that covers electronics manufacturing.Strong demonstrable background in sourcing a wide variety of components and materialsYou should have experience in helping to suggest and possibly deliver cost savings and lead time reduction through strong supply stage strategiesCandidates should be experienced in using MRP, ERP or SAP systemsYou will need to have good MS Excel experience- vLook Up and Pivot Table experience is an advantageAny form of CIPS / CILT / APICS qualification would also be extremely advantageousKnowledge of ISO9001 / 13485 standards is also very beneficialBuyer Responsibilities:Regularly place PO's for materials and services in SAP.Receive & process all order acknowledgements.Be responsible for purchasing a range of components and complex products with a range in valuesCollect and collate quotes to help with analysing and negotiating with suppliers and customers.To expedite purchase orders and update the SAP ERP system accordingly.To create deliveries of subcontract materials to subcontract partners in the SAP ERP.To ensure purchasing records are maintained in good order and the ERP system is continuously updated.If you are interested in this Buyer opportunity, click Apply Now and we will be in touch with you soon Job Info
