We are recruiting experienced Buyers in the Northwest to join the Procurement commercial team for a large Civil Engineering main contractor, involved in numerous Highways, Drainage, and Ground works projects valued between �2 million and �20 million.

Buyer Responsibilities

• Negotiation with, and management of, various suppliers across procurement
• Review supplier performance, value, and compliance
• Expand procurement strategies and explore procurement opportunities
• New supplier market research and negotiation for favourable terms
• Internal liaison with wider production team to ensure operational needs are met
• Forecast supplier and market price trends

Buyer Person Profile

• Effective Negotiation and Communication Skills for all levels of stakeholders
• Industry and Market Knowledgeable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package
• Experience in procurement processes in Civil Engineering industry

Buyer Salary

• Circa �30,000 - �35,000 p/a
