As a result of this continued growth, CRC has an opportunity for a Buyer / Estimator to be a leading part of the commercial team and contribute to the success of CRC’s projects by ensuring efficient procurement processes and accurate cost estimations.
Responsibilities include:
Identify requirements and then source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for projects to meet their timescales
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, establish favourable terms and conditions and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documents to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects
Assist with producing regular reports on project costs, budget forecasts, and potential risks to senior management
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all procurement and estimation activities.
Applicant Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement, estimation, or a related role within the construction industry
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
