Buy-To-Let Underwriter

Location: London, Broadgate�

Salary: �40,000 -��45,000

Role Responsibilities:

As a Buy-To-Let (BTL) Underwriter, your primary responsibility is to evaluate BTL loan applications in alignment with the firm's lending criteria, policies, and procedures. This includes:

- Reviewing and assessing loan documentation, such as valuation reports, and requesting additional information from brokers when necessary, while highlighting any concerns.

- Conducting checks on applicants and properties to determine their suitability for the applied loan.

- Proactively managing a pipeline of mortgage applications, including chasing outstanding information from third parties and providing timely updates to introducers to maintain service excellence.

- Recommending and referring cases to the credit committee where their approval is required.

- Liaising with introducers, valuers, and solicitors throughout the underwriting process.

- Overseeing cases from inception to completion.

Skills:

- Successful completion of internal competency tests post-induction.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Thorough understanding of FCA requirements and regulations.

- Previous experience in underwriting mortgage applications.
