Location: BostonHours of Work: 40 hours per weekDays of Work: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pmSalary: £27,000p/aTerm: Permanent Pilgrim Foodservice Ltd is seeking a Stock Controller for our state-of-the-art Butchery Department, if you thrive on being highly organised and detail orientated, then this is the role for you! Due to continued growth, we require an individual who can monitor and maintain accurate stock levels of all products. Being a Stock Controller means you will be ensuring efficient stock rotation, monitoring inventory for fridge, freezer and dried goods. You will be required to generate daily reports on stock levels, stock movements, potential issues and variances. With your experience you will confidently be able to implement a clear system that supports you and the department with managing stock. Not only will the successful candidate be joining a fast-paced, passionate team, they will be joining a forward thinking company who is looking for someone who will live by the Company Values of Trust, Respect, Integrity and Innovation.Responsibilities will include:Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels of all Butchery productsConduct regular stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with the system recordsEnsure appropriate stock rotation practises are followed, minimising waste and preventing poor quality products going out to customersCollaborate with the Butchery Manager to place timely orders for replenishment based on demand forecasts and sales patternsDeputise for the Butchery Manager to coordinate with suppliers if required to ensure efficient stock replenishment and resolve any stock related issues promptlyMonitor the temperature and cleanliness of fridges and freezers to ensure compliance with health & safety regulationsOrganise and arrange stock in fridges and freezers to optimise space utilisation and accessibilityImplement a clear system to identify products, date and storage instructions for effective stock rotationOversee the inventory of dried goods including spices, seasonings, packaging materials and non-perishable itemsGenerate daily reports on stock levels, stock movements and stock variancesAnalyse data to identify trends, potential stock issues and areas for improvementCollaborate with the Finance Department for inventory valuation and reconciliationThe successful candidate will have:Previous experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably in a Butchery or food retail environmentStrong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent numerical and analytical abilities to manage stocks levels and interpret dataProficient computer skills including knowledge of inventory management software and Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of proper food storage and handling practises, including health & safety regulationsStrong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, colleagues and other relevant stakeholdersApply now using the button below.Please remember to attach a copy of your latest CV to the email before sending.Strictly no agenciesPlease state in your email whether you're happy for us to keep your details on record for future vacancies.Office Opening HoursMon-Fri: 09:00 - 17:00
