Position: Head of Business and Economics
This secondary school are seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic Head of Business and Economics to lead our dynamic department and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator with a passion for Business and Economics and a desire to make a positive impact in a supportive and aspirational school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Business and Economics department, providing strategic direction and effective leadership to ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning experiences
Develop and implement a challenging and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students and promotes academic excellence and achievement
Inspire and motivate students to excel in their studies, fostering a love of learning and an appreciation for Business and Economics in the wider world
Support the professional development of department staff, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and reflection
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and inclusive school community
Contribute to the wider leadership and management of the school, participating in strategic planning, policy development, and school improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Business and Economics at secondary level
Proven track record of successful teaching and leadership in Business and Economics, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business and Economics, with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice, with a desire to contribute to the wider life of the school community
