Our collaborative, open door culture supports you to perform at your best, with high levels of autonomy and a strong partnership mindset across the organisation.Read more about us, our values and available career opportunities here:We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Tax team in Cambridge.As a Tax Associate in the business tax team, you will be responsible for assisting with the annual tax compliance work for a portfolio of clients and to assist other staff within the department with tax administration.As Tax Associate, some of your responsibilities will include:Client compliance work:Delivering high quality service to clientsResponsible for a portfolio of clientsEnsuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computationsEnsuring all beneficial elections and claims are madeClient planning work:Identifying possible planning possibilitiesPreparing reports for clientsAttendance at client meetingsAnswering client ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of their personal tax affairsYearly routine checks and complianceEnsuring Evelyn Partners procedures on annual tax cycle are complied withCollating and maintaining client informationClient billing and time analysisSupervising traineesOverseeing trainees and reviewing workAssisting other group members in professional workProviding feedback for trainees appraisalsQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should:Professionally Qualified or studying ATTExperience gained within a professional services firm.Good knowledge of business tax complianceAbility to write letters explaining complicated planning issues as well as verbal communication skills.Computer literate using a range of applications/programmes ideally including Digital software.Ability to work independently and be a team player.Confidence to deal with managers, partners, and clientsAdditional InformationAs a colleague here at Evelyn Partners you will have access to benefits that include:Private medical insuranceOnline GP serviceLife assurancePension contributionEmployee assistance programCharity contribution matchHoliday packageOption to purchase additional holidayWe value all the benefits that a diverse team brings.
