Business Systems Analyst

Job Description
Global E&C have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join the team in Aberdeen. This is a key role as we embrace our digital capabilities and offers the successful candidate a chance to have a big impact on helping us realise our potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working closely with stakeholders, of all levels, to gain an understanding of requirements and the ability to produce clear requirement/specification documentation. Working closely with our team of developers and testers you will act as the focal point on new system enhancements and systems support.
Your days will be varied, but some of your regular duties will include:
Developing effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and end users to ensure involvement, engagement and buy-in.
Gathering, identifying, mapping, and documenting business requirements using a variety of proven business analysis methodologies.
Identifying new technologies and procedures to improve the internal systems.
Document and articulate the impact of proposed solutions on benefits, costs, and risks, in accordance with our marginal gain ethos.
Work effectively with internal and 3rd party providers to scope, implement, test, and deploy solutions to business problems.
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of training and reference material on the new processes and software systems.
Assist in the post go-live support of the systems and ongoing continual improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be able to demonstrate:
Experience in a similar role.
Previous Oil and Gas industry experience.
Working knowledge of AGILE methodology.
Good time management and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent organisational and written communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
Working knowledge of business process modelling methodologies like UML or BPMN.
