What you'll need to do the role
Working within their team and collaborates with delivery and change teams to review and prioritise new work requests through the appropriate governance, evaluating changes to processes and systems, setting business expectations from the start. Driving the analysis of business requirements and delivering functional and non-functional requirements to timescales agreed with the Project and Technology Managers.
Supports stakeholders to define, challenge and document clear requirements using the appropriate techniques for elicitation, analysis of current systems, prioritisation etc. to ultimately gain acceptance from all stakeholders. You'll be accountable for preparing, evaluating, and documenting requirements within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery framework.
Requirements of the Role
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or System Analyst on bespoke back-end systems developed in-house
• Consistently exhibits core Business Analysis competencies (Strategic thinker, trusted adviser, clear communicator, analytical thinker, problem solver and knowledge sharer) and skills (business and technical domain modelling, requirements elicitation, analysis, definition, and management)
• Demonstrate 'system analysis' skills required to identify impacts of changes, including understanding of legacy back-end systems, APIs, database structures and system functional logic. Includes experience of liaising with developers, testers, designers, and architects to help shape solutions
• Ability to identify and manage stakeholders, and to build close working reationships across the business and with suppliers
• Experience of data manipulation in Excel, analysis of database structures and simple database querying using SQL
Desirable Skills
• Previous experience working with payments processing systems or providers
• Familiarity with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) standards
• Experience with airline systems (such as reservation, inventory, DCS)
