• A candidate with 1 years' experience as an attendance officer in a secondary school or relevant work experience


• A thorough understanding of SIMS or equivalent education software's (not essential but prefereable)


• A firm manner when interacting with parents regarding truancy and absences


• Experience of Bromcom would be great but again is not essential.

Candidates will be expected to:

• Contribute to the improvement of attendance throughout the school and meet/exceed the school attendance annual targets.


• Work with the SIMS Attendance system to monitor and identify truancy and absence in order note trends and intervene appropriately


• Be the first line of contact to parents in relation to attendance and truancy

About the School - Attendance Officer

This School is a large mixed academy school for pupils aged 11-19, located in Enfield, London, England. It opened in 1971, and was named after the composer, who lived in Greenwich. The school was completely rebuilt 40 years later as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme. It now has 1985 students.
