Explore our new opportunity in Global Equities Operations Resiliency Team!
As a Business Resiliency Senior Associate in the Global Equities Operations team, you will partner with Markets Operations resiliency leads and the Resiliency team to deliver in line with the Regulatory requirements, firmwide and CIB standards. The role will provide the exposure and opportunity to work across the full spectrum of business performed in Equities operations as well as the exposure to the Essential Services, enhancing and uplifting resiliency plans and ensuring closure of open concerns, validation of potential vulnerabilities and design and maintain a robust governance structure.
The Global Equities Operations (GEO) Resiliency team is accountable for: co-ordinating across GEO Middle Office teams to ensure delivery relating to the Operational Resiliency program is consistent, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, owning X-Lob initiatives including identifying and prioritising gaps in resiliency capabilities and managing the testing and incident management agenda, facilitating and chairing real life war room incident management calls and owning the completion of preparation work for any exams as they arise and sharing regulatory updates.
Job responsibilities
Holds a close relationship with Markets Operations leads and CIB Resiliency team to simplify the Resiliency requirements and facilitate the GEO Middle Office teams adherence to the FRB (Firmwide Resiliency Business) standards
Partners with CIB Resiliency team (Test Event manager) and the GEO Managers to coordinate business participation and completion of resiliency testing for critical Assets (i.e. tabletop exercises, physical testing, etc.)
Partners with Global IAS (Inter-Affiliate Services agreement) Governance, the Local Outsourcing Governance teams and the GEO Middle Office Managers to ensure the charters are in place
Coordinates and facilitates IAS execution and ongoing stakeholder management, from pre-onboarding, steady state management, to possible disengagements/terminations and scorecard completion and alignment to the Resiliency plans
Is responsible for periodic health checks to ensure ongoing adherence to outsourcing policies
Partners with the Recovery and Resolution Working group to verify and attest the assets required for the Equities Critical Operations and provide updates to GEO Senior Managers of the new requirements as well as tabletop exercises
Supports the GEO Middle Office managers during Simulation of the CPOF (Critical Point of Failure) asset testing for GEO Essential Services
Supports the planning requirements for creation, maintenance and annual approval as well as the plan hygiene across the GEO Resiliency plans
Identifies and delivers on opportunities to strengthen resiliency through scrutiny of plans, open communication and driving solutions with team members and business partners
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Good product knowledge; familiar with product set supported by GEO
Background of working within Markets Operations or business management background
Able to effectively prioritize against a complex set of business demands and demonstrate delivery against multiple objectives
Self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills to assess and determine key issues within the context of complex business products
Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments, Business Continuity, Recovery and Resolution, Inter-Affiliate Agreements and Operational Controls
Ability to work on multiple projects/deliverables in parallel
Ability to work flexibly and meet with deadline pressures
Excellent stakeholder management skills including ability to articulate complex details in a clear and concise manner
Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail
Product knowledge, particularly market products
Excellent presentation and MS Power Point skills as well as project management skills
