Business Manager - The Urban Green Cafes
Were looking for someone to join the team to be responsible for the management and development of the growing food and beverage offer, including cafes, mobile pod, and outside catering. To establish efficient operations, maximise profit and lead the food and beverage team in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Responsible for: All food and beverage staff and outlets
Job Purpose; To be responsible for the management and development of the growing food and beverage offer, including cafes, mobile pod, and outside catering.
To establish efficient operations, maximise profit and lead the food and beverage team in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Manage the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets including mobile concession units.
Drive profitability within all café outlets. Maximise sales, and proactively manage income against budget targets and agreed metrics.
Provide regular performance reports based on P&L activities.
Lead on the recruitment of sufficient staff and volunteers in line with company procedures and policies.
Work with the Commercial Manager on business plans for the continued development of food and beverage outlets.
Responsible for ensuring guidelines, operating procedures, records, and certificates are up to date to comply with regulations e.g., health and safety at work, food handling and hygiene, fire safety, sale of alcohol.
Responsible for the safe and secure opening and closing of Food &Beverage outlets.
Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, including equipment and building maintenance contracts, regularly reviewing costs to ensure best value.
Responsible for ensuring equipment across the Food & Beverage portfolio is properly maintained. Responsible for every aspect of the EPOS till system across all Food & Beverage outlets, including sales daily reconciliation.
Lead by example and inspire the café team to deliver consistent levels of outstanding, authentic customer service across all outlets.
Ensure that suitable monitoring and reporting systems are in place including financial and customer experience metrics.
Proactively market the cafes offer to drive footfall and maximise sales. Ensure that day to day social media output is maintained.
Participate, conduct, and contribute to team training, helping to build a culture of continuous development within all Urban Green Cafe outlets.
Be flexible in your approach to work across all café locations in line with business needs.
Be an ambassador for Urban Green Newcastle whilst at work, helping promote the work of the charity.
