SENIOR LEGAL & BUSINESS AFFAIRS EXECUTIVE
SCRIPTED TV PRODUCTION

Our client is a global leading television production company. It makes outstanding and original scripted television comedy and drama, which makes one of the most exciting and successful companies to work with.
A temporary (or temp to perm/permanent) opportunity has arisen for a scripted TV production lawyer (or equivalent) to join the team, initially on a 6-month contract basis. We are also recruiting for a permanent role in the team.
You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements, including with key contributors (e.g. writers, rights owners, artists, directors, producers) and with co-production partners and broadcasters and financiers across a diverse range of programmes and motion pictures.
You will also provide legal support to all levels of the editorial and production teams throughout the creative process, from development, through production to final delivery.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the UK television sector, relevant collective bargaining agreements and the broadcaster Terms of Trade. A knowledge of the US television sector and UK data protection legislation and its application would be an advantage.
