The Vacancy
Paradigm has already made great strides forward in how well it uses data in the past three years: in the next two years we will deliver the biggest digital transformation programme in our history with data at its heart.
We need your help to ensure that our Executive, Leadership team and our business services get - and act on - the data-driven insights they need to make Paradigm even more efficient, customer-focused and compliant.
You'll need to understand Paradigm's processes so you can proactively recommend and drive insights & improvements using data & reporting. What you build will need to be what the business needs - and this may well be above and beyond what you're asked for, so you'll need to make proactive decisions to fill this 'gap' with your analysis and experience.
This role reports to the Head of Business Intelligence: you will work within a small team of ten in a wider directorate of around thirty five people which is the IT and Business Transformation teams combined. Your work might involve a morning assisting one of the Executive in a report for Paradigm's Board, and the afternoon assisting a gas engineer to automatically get the data they need on their phone to deliver their next jobs. The next day you might be preparing our regulatory reporting for the Housing Regulator, driving data cleansing by automating data quality checks or working on deadline-driven projects.
About you
We are looking for someone with the ability to generate actionable insights from data for Paradigm, someone who has a passion for excellent service with practical experience in dashboard creation to join our small friendly team.
Working via a mixture of office and homeworking, you will be helping drive the future of Paradigm by enabling better decision making and more efficient delivery of our essential services.
Experience of report creation within a Housing environment is desirable but not essential - your proactive approach to generating insights is much more important.
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data, analysis and reporting and their relationship to business processes plus strong and clear communication skills; both verbal and written, with the talent to convey complex data into easily understandable information.
We have a SQL Server data warehouse and Power BI for data visualisation plus we'll be adding in Civica CX BI Reporting as part of the transformation programme. Knowledge of these would be useful, but what is much more important is a deep understanding of data and how to drive business change with it - success is not a finished dashboard but Paradigm using it to drive change.
We have a comprehensive personal and professional development suite available to all of our employees. So not only is this a great opportunity to join a high performing and specialist team at a time when you can have a real and personal impact on the future success of our business, you can continue to grow and develop yourself, building an exciting/interesting/rewarding career with a growing business.
Where could this role take you?
Whilst this is not currently a permanent role, this FTC will run until the end of 2024, in a business our size and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended, made permanent or other opportunities may arise. Many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term doesn't materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields.
