Overall Purpose of the Role of a Business Insights Analyst
We are looking for an exceptionally commercial candidate to join our Finance Business Insights team in our Southall Head office. Business Insights is an exceptionally entrepreneurially focused, and no day is the same. Its an exciting time to join us and be a part of the team structured to drive the business forward through working closely with the sales teams, bringing internal and external insight and being an integral part of our Customers Journeys. You will be an integral part of reporting internal and external insights to the business and the DDF Exec and involved in a variety of fast paced change projects and initiatives in our customer centric independent business. For example, reviewing trends of customer purchase behaviour against tenders and working with the sales team to build on this insight, referencing external market information against internal trends to grow our commercial knowledge, analysing trends in core SKU gap fill performance and working with the sales team to take learnings and make forward improvements etc.
You are excited by the opportunity to work at different levels within the business and driven to learn more about a FMCG Food business with a strong business acumen. Driven and a self-starter, you will lead continuous improvement across our Customer Journeys striving for efficiencies and excellence whist maintaining the highest standards of performance and promoting our Food Safety Culture. You will be an extended part of our Sales and Operations team and part of the Delice Family delivering the Delice core values.

Reporting & Key Relationships of a Business Insights Analyst
Reporting into the Head of Business Insights, the Business Insights Analyst will be a key support for the sales team / business working on a variety of value added business projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of a Business Insights Analyst include;
Proactively contributing to and promoting cross functional working to ensure a continuous development of a balanced customer, cost and cash focused culture.
Strategically and tactically support the Sales team across all sectors, end-to-end on areas through the provision of Insightful internal and external trends on customers/product/sectors. This could include but is not limited to reporting on pricing accuracy, adoption of new product listings, maximising Return on Investment for our customers, accurate forecasting, working alongside the Head of Business Insights and the Business Insights Business Partner to support the sales or procurement team in tenders.
Identifying opportunities to drive profitability, growth and cash improvement working with the Head of Business Insights
Be part of the team evolving our Strategic Sector Pricing Strategy working hand in hand with the Channel Team, Marketing and the Sales Director.
Working with the Head of Business Insights, Marketing and the Sales Director to understand how market insights can be used with pricing tactical strategies to gain market share.
Reviewing new financing and business modelling opportunities to further digitalise a speedier response to customer opportunities for Delice
Continuously develop and create relevant insight driven Insightful reporting that is timely and accurate.
To provide excel & powerpoint training and knowledge promoting continuous improvement throughout Delice

Knowledge and Skills required of a Business Insights Analyst;
Analytical with excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Must have exceptional planning and multitasking skills to manage the varied day to day needs and deadlines
A proactive self-starter, with independent clear thinking and the ability to work on their own as well as in a team flexibly.
Familiarity with integrated ERP System Preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI
Good working knowledge of Excel is critical along with MS Office

Essential Experience and Qualifications/training for the Business Insights Analyst role:
Must enjoy a fast paced, growing and evolving business environment, where every day is not prescheduled.
Graduate with business/numerate Degree (Or equivalent)
Strong IT aptitude
Ideally FMCG/Retail/fast paced Entrepreneurial background
