About the TeamThe Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly. The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized. About the RoleReporting to the relevant Media Activation Partner, this role acts as the Activation Leader for a specific Google Product Area (PA). Providing leadership and line management for practitioners within that PA, the PA Leads are responsible for the overall Performance of a PA, and therefore must demonstrate leadership qualities to bring the team together to deliver client goals PA Leads should have the ability to collaborate closely with their Lead counterparts across Client Services, Planning, Data Strategy and Analytics on PA specific requirements. PA Leads collaborate with Channel Leads to ensure Practitioners within their PAs are moving through their career milestones, staying up to date with certifications, allowing time to develop their craft. Some of the things we’d like you to do:Overall responsibility for the performance, outcomes and deliverables across all channels of activation (Search, Social, Display, and Video) for that PA Provide leadership and line management for practitioners within designated PA Accountable for adherence to best practices, financial integrity and data quality as per Google and MFG’s ways of working Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Managing risks & opportunities for the client PA including escalating necessary issues Collaborate with Analytics, Planning, Data Strategy and Channel Leads to deliver best in class media. Collaborate with Global Activation peers to drive thought leadership, efficiencies and innovation Support the Client Director & Media Activation Partner in capacity planning & resource management for the team Contributing to agency-wide continuous improvement projects regarding processes, the growth and wellbeing of our people, and quality standards Required Education and Experience: Proven experience at Activation Director level in a Digital Media or Advertising role Bachelor’s degree in a Media/Advertising or a related field . Proven experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree Proven Project Management, Leadership and People Management experience Required Experience Excellent knowledge of media fundamentals e.g. reach, frequency, channels, formats, reporting, KPIs, etc. Extensive experience with activating and directly managing large-scale media campaigns across some of the following platforms: AdWords, Bing Ads, DV360 or other DSP, Facebook, Twitter Experience of managing vendor relationships Regularly contributes to platform best practices and campaign processes Experience with Google stack and have GMP & Adwords certifications (desirable) Experience with running campaigns across multiple countries / languages Experience with managing a mid- to large-sized team across a range of experience & seniority levels What you can expect from MFG and EssenceMediacomOur mission is to make advertising more valuable to the world.
