The DLT Science Foundation (DSF) is looking for a Marketing and Business Developer who will:Market Research and AnalysisConduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and trends in emerging technology risk.Analyse market data to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and potential for new market penetration or expansion.Lead GenerationDevelop and implement strategies for lead generation through various channels, including digital marketing, networking events, industry conferences, and social media.Qualify leads to ensure they meet the company's target customer profile and are likely to convert into sales.Sales and Client AcquisitionEngage with potential clients through cold calling, emails, and meetings to present the company's tools and products.Develop tailored pitches and presentations to highlight the benefits and features of the company’s offerings, specifically addressing the risks and challenges faced by the client in emerging technologies.Product Development and ManagementCollaborate with the product development team to provide feedback from the market and suggest improvements or new product features that meet the evolving needs of the market.Stay updated with the latest developments in technology and risk management to ensure the company's products remain competitive and relevant.Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their ongoing needs and ensuring they are satisfied with the company's services.Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling other products or services to enhance customer value.Strategic PlanningParticipate in strategic planning with the company's leadership to develop growth strategies based on market analysis and sales performance.Set sales targets and develop plans to achieve these goals while monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure that all sales practices comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.Understand the specific risks associated with emerging technologies and how the company's products mitigate these risks for clients.Education and AdvocacyAct as a subject matter expert on emerging technology risks, providing insights and educational content to clients and the wider industry through blogs, whitepapers, and speaking engagements.Advocate for the importance of risk management in the adoption of new technologies, highlighting the company's role in supporting this.Collaboration and TeamworkWork closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer satisfaction.Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Performance Monitoring and ReportingMonitor sales performance and other key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and lead generation activities.Prepare regular reports for the management team, providing insights and recommendations for future actions.Skill RequirementsThe ideal applicant will be characterised by:Knowledge of and passion for the blockchain industry.Experience with GTM Strategy.Proficiency in market research and analysis to identify business opportunities and trends.Expertise in developing lead generation strategies across various channels including digital marketing and social media.Strong client engagement and negotiation skills for sales and client acquisition.Collaboration with product development teams to suggest improvements based on market feedback.Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with skills in upselling and cross-selling.Experience in strategic planning and setting sales targets, along with the ability to adjust strategies based on performance.Knowledge of industry regulations, ethical standards, and risk management in emerging technologies.Capability to provide educational content and advocate for risk management in technology adoption.Teamwork skills for effective collaboration with marketing, product development, and customer support teams.Proficiency in monitoring sales performance and preparing reports with insights and recommendations.Self-sufficiency: competency to handle and take ownership of all the responsibilities with no more than one junior person in their charge.
