The Business Development Manager's primary objective is to open new Salon & Spa accounts in the North of England and to maximise revenue from existing accounts.
This role will drive the growth of the brand by building strong relationships with potential and current clients, promoting brand values, and ensuring excellent client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Identify and target potential Salon & Spa accounts within the North of England.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to approach and secure new business opportunities.
Present and demonstrate the product range to prospective clients.
Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential client needs.
Account Management:
Manage and nurture relationships with existing Salon & Spa accounts to maximise revenue.
Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Provide training and support to existing accounts to ensure they are fully knowledgeable about the product range.
Address any client issues or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Work with Training Manager to provide Treatment training for all accounts to ensure that they are using products in line with the correct techniques.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Work closely with the Commercial Director to align on goals, strategies, and performance metrics.
Track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales activities.
Client Engagement & Support:
Organise and participate in client events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote product portfolio.
Provide ongoing education to clients about product features and benefits including new product launches.
Ensure clients receive exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the beauty or wellness industry.
Strong network and understanding of the Salon & Spa market in the North of England.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse client base.
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of skincare, essential oils, and holistic wellness.
Trained Therapist to support in training and development of clients.
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about skincare and wellness.
Dynamic and proactive approach to business development.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to travel within the North of England as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary: £35-40k (OTE c£60k)
Performance-based incentives: 10% commission on opening orders and 2.5% on returning orders.
£350 company car or car allowance plus expenses.
