Business Development Manager

£35,000 - £45,000 per year basic salary (depending on experience).

Hybrid work options with office working hours based in Northampton offices.

In this brand new role with the company, you will be focused on developing project leads in the logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing sectors. You will be selling solutions that protect people, plant, and property with flexible rack and warehouse protection. As the company's first dedicated sales rep for their Damage Prevention Equipment range, you will be selling turnkey solutions with Safety Barriers, Rack Protection, Bollards and Posts, Line and Floor Marking, Machine Guarding, Labels, Signs, and Steel Partitioning.

As Business Development Manager, you will combine internal and field based sales prospecting activities to convert customers and achieve targets for profit, turnover, and growth. You will be given a head-start of around 4,000 qualified leads and will be provided expert support from the Senior Management Team, and Sales & Marketing Team to help you succeed in securing sales and progressing your career. Your duties will include:

Achieve sales prospecting daily activity and weekly appointment targets.

Design sales pitches and solutions that meet the needs of the customer.

Work closely with senior managers and marketing teams to share market trends and competitor intel to ensure the company ahead of the curve and continuously improving.

Using the company CRM to record sales data, manage your pipeline, and produce sales reports.

Identify decision makers within prospect organisations by telephone / online research data and generate sales leads.

The key factor that determines how successful you are within the tole is the level of profitable new business acquisition that you can achieve through consistent and high quality sales prospecting activity. Your target buyers are most commonly, Health & Safety Managers, Facilities Managers, and Operations Managers in warehouses, logistics, and manufacturing environments, and sales values range from £5,000 - £50,000 +.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience and proven success in a relevant B2B solution sales environment that combines internal and field based "hunter" mentality new business development.
