Business Development Manager

Our client is a growing and ambitious electronics manufacturer that strives for excellence throughout the business from proposal to delivery.
As the business prepares for the next exciting stage of growth, they are seeking a highly self-motivated Business Development Manager to contribute to the overall success of the organisation. The successful candidate will be excited by the opportunity to originate and convert a pipeline of opportunities and will use their expertise to drive the business forward.
Responsibilities include:
• Reporting to the Business Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and expanding the customer base
• Proactively making outbound sales calls to potential customers
• Attending customer meetings, presenting manufacturing capabilities to potential customers and assisting with trade shows and exhibitions
• Developing sales strategies and setting targets
• Compiling and analysing sales figures
• Producing monthly sales reports
• Maintaining the customer database together with the internal sales team
• Collecting customer feedback, competitor analysis and market research
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have a track record of delivering results in a similar field sales position
• Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
• Be a self-starter who has the desire, energy, and flair to develop relationships and create work-winning strategies
• Have the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to travel with occasional overnight visits away from home
• Hold a full clean driving licence
