Business Development Manager (Automotive)UK based55,000 - 60,000 per annum (OTE 70,000 per annum)Position FunctionWe are seeking to find a charismatic, professional candidate for our client.This is a UK Business Development Manager role promoting and enhancing the sales for a range of Welding equipment within the automotive Industry.This role will includeDeveloping new business - travelling UK wideIntroducing our products to Key accountsLiaising with Major national distributors/ retailersLiaising with Major end users such as transport operators and workshop chains.Identifying and converting prospect accountsGrowing the product ranges within existing accountsWorking RelationshipsThe position reports to the UK Sales Director and will involve contact internally with all members of the UK team and occasional contact with staff in other countries.Externally contacts will be with representatives of distributors at all levels, owners, managers, sales staff and purchasing managers.Work PerformedResearch and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products & new ways of reaching existing marketsResearch and fact find to obtain the appropriate contact in an organisationGenerating leads and cold call prospective customersFostering and developing relationships with customersUnderstanding the needs of the customers and being able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet theseThink strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the businessEnsure all employees are on board throughout the organisationTrain customer employeesDiscuss promotional strategy and activities with the customers and marketing departmentCreate and maintain a sales pipelineLiaise with European colleagues and develop strategy for any pan-European companiesSkills & KnowledgeExperienced as a Business Development ManagerProven track record winning Key accounts within the automotive industryAbility to Influence customers to range, sell and promote automotive productsAnalytical skills, identifying opportunities and present them internally and externallyPresentation skills, able to produce and present to all levels of both internal and external customersExcellent Excel, Word & PowerPoint knowledgeYou will have Direct contact to establish supply route with: Car Dealership groups Car Manufacturers Haulage companies Rail Bus & Coach Fast Fit CentersBasic Salary 50,000 - 60,000 per annum. (OTE 70,000 per annum)Fully expensed car, mobile, laptopThis role is UK wide - Ideally you will be living centrally in the Midlands area
