Jee is a leading independent multi-discipline engineering and training consultancy operating in the global oil, gas and renewable energy sectors. The Role
To help our clients achieve their goals, we are seeking an outstanding and experienced Business Development Manager with experience in the oil, gas and renewables industries to join our Engineering Consultancy team’s expansion. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of the engineering challenges faced in the industry and can work with Jee engineers to deliver commercially attractive solutions to both new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
Articulate Jee's value proposition effectively, demonstrating a deep understanding of client challenges and how our solutions can address these
Foster client loyalty through exceptional service delivery and proactive engagement, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
Seek out consulting opportunities while collaborating with Jee engineering experts to deliver comprehensive solutions
Spearhead new client acquisition and nurture existing relationships to enhance our market presence, directly contributing to the strategic direction set by the Director of Engineering Services
Execute our growth strategy by setting ambitious sales goals and leveraging insights to refine our strategic focus
Craft and execute tailored tenders, proposals and commercial agreements that match the needs of individual clients
Engage actively in business prospecting through diverse channels, aiming to build a robust sales pipeline that supports our growth targets
Develop comprehensive account plans, identifying additional opportunities to maximize value delivered to customers
Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop and align on strategic marketing initiatives and in delivering the marketing plan
Demonstrate thought leadership through LinkedIn and industry bodies
Maintain a detailed record of client interactions and account information in our CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Continuously update the company with competitive, technological and market developments in the industry
Ensure the Jee brand and commitment to excellence are evident to the client
Understand and adhere to Jee’s vision and values
Candidate Profile
Degree level in business management, engineering, or science-related discipline (ideally an engineer who transitioned their career into a sales/business development/commercial role)
Proven/prior experience in business development, key account management and/or sales, ideally in a technical consultancy environment
A team player who can motivate and drive clients and Jee to work together for the benefit of all stakeholders
Have a passion for understanding and solving client’s technical challenges
Knows how and when to use Jee technical resources to provide an optimal solution that is accepted by the client
Demonstrate a clear understanding of the full opportunity to cash cycle and how to maximise the success rate
Ability to demonstrate a resilient and tenacious attitude to achieving company objectives in a fast-paced, challenging role
Have an innovative and positive attitude to overachieving against targets
Fluent use of MS Office and CRM database (ideally HubSpot)
Knowledge and experience of the global oil and gas and wider energy sector
Hold permanent right to work status in the UK
