Business Development Manager

SRG are delighted to be partnered with an emerging and growing biotechnology business to help them find a Business Development Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a strong technical background as well as commercial, client-facing experience to take on an exciting new role and help the business go from strength to strength.

This role allows for remote working with some need for in person meetings in Scotland as well as travel to clients.

You will be key in managing projects and client relationships. In turn you will receive a competitive salary and share options with the business!

The Role:

• Manage the end-to-end technical support required by the CCO. This will cover proof of concept work as well as supporting client projects post license
• Manage a portfolio of business development projects and overseeing the management of shared resource
• Work closely with the CCO and wider Business Development and support team
• Liaise closely with commercial partners to ensure technical needs are met
• Data interpretation
• Ensure timely delivery of data sets, tracking and reporting
• Prepare and finalise technical reports, analytics and other materials for use with internal and external shareholders

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant life science or chemistry based degree is essential
• PhD in a scientific discipline is desirable
• Prior experience in a client facing capacity is essential
• Commercial experience in a similar environment would be highly beneficial
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work part of a small team
• Prior experience working in a start up or SME would be beneficial
• Able to demonstrate relationship building skills and experience
• Problem solving ability and ability to adapt to changing needs
• Good networking skills
• Organisational ability and IT skills
