Business Development Manager - Maternity Cover for a leading Business Travel Company - Aberdeen based. Are you relationship & target driven? Do you have a proven background in winning business? Established Aberdeen based provider of corporate travel are keen to continue their success; they have an opening for a New Business Manager to be based in Aberdeen ideally. This is a maternity cover, so whilst we are ideally seeking someone with previous business development experience for a business travel company, consideration will be given to business development stars from relatable industries, or those in travel looking to step up. Salary is dependent on experience circa �30k pa - �35k pa plus 10% commission 31 days holiday (incl bank holidays), Pension 6% contribution and a range of other benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The objective of this business development manager role is to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible, and approach potential customers with the aim of winning new business

  • Proactively seeks leads for prospective clients
  • Plans and participates in prospective client meetings and takes responsibility to ensure all action points are followed through
  • Understand the needs of your prospective client to assist in winning the sale
  • Cold call prospective clients to arrange appointments
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement, fees and close sales
  • Assists with the preparation of proposals, presentations, and tenders.
  • Assist with the implementation of new clients in line with ISO procedures, liaising with Finance, Operations and Credit Control
  • Liaise between Prospective Client, Operations and Finance to resolve client issues and put preventatives in place.
  • Report weekly on prospective client progress to Head of Business Travel
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails.
  • Assists with the management of the Firm's website and all social media channels
  • Reports on competitor activity and relevant travel industry news
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, conferences, events and demonstrations

THE PACKAGE:

Salary is dependent on experience, in the region of �30k pa - �35k pa, annual bonus, 31 days holiday (incl bank holidays), Pension 6% contribution and a range of other benefits.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ideally you will have worked in business travel, business development experience, but consideration will be given to candidates with strong new business and repeat business sales experience from relatable industries
