Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to oversee territories in both Scotland and Ireland for a global plastic development company. Our client is looking for an individual who has a hunting mentality when it comes to sales and also the ability to manage and develop a number of key accounts.
This is a remote position, but with frequent weekly travel in Scotland and also travel every month to Ireland. You will have large amounts of autonomy to manage your own desk and clients and decide whether face to face or virtual meetings are required depending on the client's needs. Our client would prefer someone to based in the Scottish region due to where majority of the accounts are based.
Responsibilities
• Managing relationships with key influencers to optimise business performance and enhance market presence.
• Develop account plans for both Scotland and Ireland with the aim to develop the area sustainably year on year.
• Identify and contact key decision makers, to ensure client specification for the supply chain.
• Identify new business in Scotland and Ireland territories
• Contribute to continuous improvement by ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Gather market and prospective customer information and rely back to the internal teams.
The Role
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Previous experience of account managing and business development.
• Previous experience in a technical, manufacturing or engineering background.
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to communicate to a wide range of people
•Hunting mentality
• Self-starter and ability to manage own desk.
• Must have a driving licence and be happy with frequent travel
• Ideally live in the Scotland region.
• Positive attitude
• Excellent organisational skills.
