Business Development Manager - South East NorthAs Business Development Manager you will have fullresponsibilityfor regional activity and development including all agreed new business targets, as well as overall productivity of the South East North region. You should be located and willing to travel across the region.What does the job involve?Responsible for personal activity within South East North region in line with the role objectives, KPIs and targetsEnsure effective integration between the roles for the benefit of regional performance, e.g. BDS and BDCDevelop, monitor and review adviser firms within the segmentation modelDevelop and maintain an efficient contact strategy with segmented advisersMaintenance of all adviser relationships within the segmentation model in conjunction with team, BDS, BDC etcMonitoring business levels from supporting advisers taking proactive and recovery action as appropriateWorking with the team to develop our identified Growth accounts and ensuring appropriate follow up strategy with Development firmsRegular contact to maintain and improve working relationship and business levels with all firmsMonitor and manage TV out activityWork with the team to identify and prioritise target firmsUse all available MI to ensure maximum leverage from every firmTake responsibility and own development plans in conjunction with the teamDevelop and manage a Regional strategy to further develop our F+SS penetration with existing firmsDevelop and manage a Regional strategy to develop our Investment solutions, MPS and Passive funds including new funds and products across the regional segmented adviser modelDeliver and co-ordinate technical and new business presentations and seminars, including effective use of available resource, e.g. Investment and Technical resource.Co-ordinate and log all follow up to centralised seminars, e.g. Spotlight sessions, OTRs, InvestivalMaintain adequate and relevant notes on activity and key new business relationships including ensuring contributions to spreadsheets are up to dateMaintain contact details and relationship notes within OutlookKey Investment Partners (Regional) – maintain relationships and business activityFund groups (Regional) – manage and develop productive relationshipsPlatform demonstrations including tools such as Bulk Dealing and ModelsOn boarding and related issues, working with BDSOversee activity with on boarding firmsManage any issues that ariseCo-ordinate use of 3rd party data systems, eg. Financial Express and Touchstone across the regional the team to identify and realise potential within the regionDeliver local team training/coaching as required to ensure regional team members are knowledgeable and confident with our own products and Investment solutions including key competitor detailsManage associated risks within the regionAbout you:You will have extensive experience in an IFA-facing sales/business developmentroleA proven network of adviser firms within regionSIPP and Investment (MPS and OEIC) sales experienceExcellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to approach people at all levels of seniorityEffective planning, organisation and time-management skillsQualified to Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or Level 4 equivalent) is desirableAbout us:AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers to DIY investors with little to no experience.
