Business Development Manager/ Freight

Our client, a leading logistics organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager in Slough!As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and developing new business opportunities. Your main responsibilities include promoting our client's services to both new and existing clients, building and maintaining long-term business relationships, and ensuring that all customers are fully aware of the range of services offered.What will you be doing?Developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of international clientsMeeting clients face to face to build relationships and secure new businessProviding accurate quotations and solutions based on customer requirementsFollowing up on quotes, securing bookings, and providing excellent customer service throughout the processSupporting the export and import processes and covering for the export and import teams when neededMaintaining accurate records of all customs-related documents and transactionsCommunicating effectively with customers and suppliers regarding customs requirements and proceduresAssisting with other tasks and responsibilities as requiredWhat do you need to succeed?Previous sales experience, ideally within the Freight Forwarding industryA self-motivated and can-do attitude with a proven track record in bringing in new businessExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience using Freight Management Systems (training will be provided)Knowledge of sea freight is an advantagePerks and Benefits:Competitive salary of £40,000. £50,000 OTE Full-time, permanent positionPension contribution matchingConveniently located office, just a 9-minute walk from Langley train stationIf you are passionate about sales, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, then our client wants to hear from you!
