Where possible, we support a working pattern that suits your lifestyle and helps you reach your ambitions.Business Development Manager - 5G SecurityLocation: UK Remote with 30% international travel across EMEAWe currently have a fantastic opportunity within Thales CPL (Cloud Protection & Licensing), a leading provider of Data Security solutions, for a highly motivated Telco / 5G Business Development Manager, with a focus on the EMEA region. In this role you’ll play a crucial part in driving new business opportunities for our 5G portfolio, working with key players like MNOs (Mobile Network Operators), NEPs (Network Equipment Providers), SIs (System Integrators)/GSIs (Global System Integrators) and Enterprises.Key responsibilitiesOn a day-to-day basis, you’ll:Develop and execute strategic sales plans for 5G solutions, ensuring widespread adoption of Thales CPL's data encryption products.Conduct market research and analyze sales strategies to capitalize on the disruptive potential of 5G technology and business models.Collaborate with the sales team to maintain joint business scorecards and develop long-term initiatives with key customers.Craft and
implement go-to-market
strategies for disrupting existing markets and building new 5G use cases, fostering new partnerships and sales opportunities.Manage a robust network of relationships with vendors, system integrators, and both established and emerging players in the industry.Support sales management in maintaining strong relationships with senior executives in key accounts.Act as an industry evangelist, speaking at events, participating in community development initiatives, and contributing to thought leadership efforts.Design, organise, and lead workshops to brainstorm and accelerate the launch of co-marketed 5G solutions.Develop and deliver training materials to equip sales teams with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively sell to target accounts.Track and report on pipeline progress, forecast accuracy, and other key metrics across the EMEA region.About youIdeally, you’ll have:Significant
experience selling
to MNOs, NEPs, or enterprise security solution providers.A strong technical background in Data Security and Telecommunication.Proven experience selling virtualized VNF/CNF solutions, domain orchestration, or cross-domain service orchestration to mobile operators.A proven track record of selling complex technical solutions.Experience leading and coordinating virtual teams involved in strategic planning and large account sales.A consistent history of success in business development within a competitive environment.The ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.A strong aptitude for grasping new technical concepts and translating them into actionable business models.An undergraduate technical degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required - an MBA is desirable.Benefits at ThalesWe strive to create an environment where you can prioritise your wellbeing and have designed our benefits to give you the flexibility and power to do so.
