OSSTEC is developing additive manufactured biomimetic implants to reduce implant failure and simplify surgeries. This vision is backed by funding from VCs and the UK government. global key opinion leader surgeons in clinical and surgical backgrounds and founders with previous successful exits. OSSTEC’s patented technology builds on 10 years of research at Imperial College London and 25 peer-reviewed papers, making us world leaders in additive manufacturing for orthopaedics.The next frontier of OSSTEC’s success is our commercial launch in the USA followed by the UK and this new Business Development Lead will play a pivotal role in combining OSSTEC’s product, supply chain and growing surgeon team for success. The next few years will be fast-paced, transformative and exciting.Business Development Lead Job DescriptionOSSTEC is seeking an exceptional Business Development Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in supply chain management, strategic identification of new product users (surgeons), and financial modelling to assess the impact of supply chain and product sales on our finances. The Business Development Lead will spearhead crucial initiatives to ensure the successful USA and UK launch and expansion of OSSTEC's product line and territories. This role will require close collaboration with the CEO, management team, engineering team, and key opinion leader surgeons to drive OSSTEC's growth trajectory forward.Main tasks and responsibilities of the role include:Work independently and collaboratively with OSSTEC's leadership team, engineering team, and surgeons to facilitate the successful launch of OSSTEC's innovative products.Manage and optimize OSSTEC's supply chain operations and contracting to meet USA and UK hospital stock consignment and usage requirements efficiently.Identify and cultivate relationships with new prospective surgeons and healthcare organizations aligned with OSSTEC's launch and expansion strategy in the USA and UK.Support the onboarding, contracting, and ongoing liaison with surgeons to ensure seamless integration and utilization of OSSTEC's products.Use financial modelling to assess business scenarios, including the impact of new surgeons, supply chain enhancements, introduction of multiple products, and entry into new markets.Attend industry-related conferences and events to stay abreast of market trends, forge partnerships, and represent OSSTEC's interests.Support the dissemination of key findings through the publication of papers and other relevant materials.Leverage social media platforms to enhance communication and engagement with stakeholders.Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will have a strong passion for medtech and medical devices, with a focus on the business and commercial strategy and operations of the industry. They must be able to work in a small team to support the company across the entire spectrum of product development and testing.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, engineering or a related field.Proven experience in business development in the USA market, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.
