Business Development Lead

Role description:Colorifix is looking for an experienced business development professional to join their team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability, a strong track record in sales and an existing network within the textile industry. As the Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for expanding sales operations across international markets with a proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment. To achieve this, experience within the fashion and or textiles industry is essential.Key Duties and Responsibilities:● Co-develop a growth strategy with C-level and Commercialisation Manager● Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs● Arrange and lead business meetings with prospective customers● Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers● Manage team of UK-based Business Development Associates● Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services● Strategic planning and implementation of operational changes● Ensure alignment with other parts of the organisation● Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department● Promote the company’s products and servicesRole Requirements:● Demonstrable track record (10 years +) of success in sales and business development● Experience in sales, margins, and P&L (Profit and Loss) analyses for a wide range of products, demonstrating the ability to discern market trends and patterns effectively● Understanding of both technology trends and traditional business approaches● Robust professional network with key industry players internationally including Asia● Experience working within all levels of the supply chain including Tier 1, 2 and 3● Flexibility to travel between our Cambridge, London and Norwich sites on a regular basis● Ability to think strategically and analyse data to inform decision-making● Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail● Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams● A collaborative, sleeves-rolled-up, results-based kind of approachTitle: Business Development LeadReports to: CCOLocation: CambridgeRemuneration: CompetitiveHolidays: 25 + BH + BirthdayBenefits: Pension scheme, EMI share options, mental health support and employee wellbeing budget, company social events and annual retreatApply: Please submit your CV and cover letter to ##### stating the role that you are applying for in the subject line.Colorifix is an equal opportunity employer.
