Their expansion into the UK in 2021 follows significant market opportunities in the EMEA region and presents an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded to join a group continuing its expansion into new areas.Their highly skilled team has a combined 107 years of collective professional experience, focusing on projects that enable the autonomous navigation of spacecraft, gateways to Lunar intelligence and new opportunities for deep-space imaging, along with a range of cutting-edge defence-based applications.What will you be doing?As their Business Development Lead, you will support the UK division as they continue to develop relationships across the MOD and defence contractor ecosystem, leveraging your industry knowledge and network to establish and grow key contacts.You’ll help to identify new business opportunities for the organisation, supporting them through the proposal-building process and using your negotiation skills to effectively close contracts. Your commercial planning experience will also play a key role in establishing and growing a solid pipeline and CRM system, which will include an exciting range of current and future projects.To thrive in this role, you will have:Several years (5+) of high-quality Business Development or acquisitions experience gained in a defence or governmental role will help you hit the ground running. You’ll be an excellent communicator, with areas of strength including public speaking, negotiation, and proposal writing.This role would suit those with either a technical degree, or a degree gained in a business-related field.The role will require candidates to work full-time on-site in Edinburgh, with ad-hoc international travel required for industry events, customer meetings, and visits to the US office. You’ll also need the unrestricted right to work in the UK indefinitely, and the ability to obtain Security Clearance.It’d also be nice if you had:MSc., MA., or MBA in International Relations, Business, International Development, National Security, or any other relevant field.A network within MOD and/or industry.Experience working within MOD, ideally in an acquisitions role.Experience working with organisations in the space or national security industries.Current or recent Security ClearanceIn return, you can expect:In recognition of your hard work, you can expect an industry-leading salary up to £75,000 per annum.RSA offers an outsourced housekeeping service at your home, helping you maintain a clear living space.
