We have some good news.We are recruiting for aBusiness Development Consultantwithin the Business Development departmentto play a direct part in helping AJ Bell achieve its new business targets and further grow its market share.The purpose of the BDCrole is to create new relationships and develop existing relationships with financial advisers to increaseflowsinto the AJ Bell Investcentre platform and the investment products we offer here at AJ Bell. The BDC role will involve:Generating interest in the AJ Bell Investcentre platform through proactive contact with varying stakeholders within adviser firm practicesEngaging with adviser firms to help them understand the benefits of using the Managed Portfolio Service and multi-asset funds thatAJ Bell offerClosing new business opportunities with new and existing financial adviser firmsIdentifying, developing and securing small to medium new business migrationsCreating own leads through targeted proactive communicationOnboarding new firms by ensuringthorough training plan is implemented and relevant ongoing training is provided to avoid poor outcomesDealing with high potential referrals provided by the Business Development Support team and through Marketing activitiesRunning face-to-face meetings with advisers as requiredWho would suit a BDC role:Experience and proven success working proactively in a platform and investments environmentAn understanding of investment platforms,investment propositions, financial advisers and their business practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills and experience proactively building and maintaining customer relationshipsA track record of meeting deadlines and being well organisedProven self-motivation skills to generate workloads using own initiative and with minimal supervisionAn enthusiasm to work in a target driven environment and take responsibility for increasing new businessA desire to further your skills and knowledge by working towards professional qualifications, in particular relating to investmentsFull UK driving licenceExcellent opportunity to continue developing a career in Business Development and salesFreedom to use your own initiative to generate varying workloads and proactively manage your own timeWork closely with Senior Management and other departments such as Marketing and AJ Bell Investments to capitalize on potential new business opportunitiesGain a wider understanding of the industry, investments and financial advisersDevelop skills and enhance career progression potential through dedicated internal training sessionsFinancial support to study towards professional qualificationsBe part of the Business Development Bonus SchemeAbout us:AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK, with over 491,000 customers using our award-winning platform propositions to manage assets totalling more than £76.1billion.
