Business Development Associate
Veramed is looking for a
Business Development Associate
to join our fast-paced and growing Commercial Department. Veramed is a specialist biometrics CRO that provides high quality data management, statistics and programming services.
We have a unique people-focused approach and have grown from 2 to 350 staff in the last 11 years across the UK, Europe, US and India. The role could be fully remote in the UK or based in one of our three UK offices (Twickenham, West London, Alderley Park, Cheshire and Swansea, South Wales) or a hybrid of home and office based.
The Business Development Associate
joining us will work closely with the Chief Business Officer and the Commercial Team to research and qualify leads for the business. This role will be working to manage internal and external stakeholders, moving the leads through the sales process to a completed first/second meeting.
We are looking for someone with a solid 1 year minimum experience working in business development and lead generation within the pharma, CRO, Biotech industry. You will have a proven track record of having won work and converted leads into clients.

Key responsibilities of the Business Development Associate will be:
The role will be targeted on a specified number of qualified M1 meetings generated per quarter.
Use all the tools and resources available to research and identify new business opportunities, growth areas, competitor, industry, and geographic trends.
Follow up and qualify campaign-based leads – post event follow-up to stage 2 of the sales process (first meeting).
Consistently and professionally communicate with potential clients to identify opportunities, bring together the necessary business development and operational team members.
Provide a full and concise overview of the client's position and situation ahead of any organised meetings.
Work with the marketing team to create bespoke, targeted sales collateral to warm leads to stage 2 of the sales process.
Work with Operational team members to aggregate potential sales targets.
Attend conferences and networking events to increase Veramed brand awareness.
Record all activity including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, and tasks in Salesforce.
Provide weekly updates to the Chief Business Officer on leads and pipeline of work.
Experience and additional requirements needed for the Business Development Associate role:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a science-related field.
1+ years’ experience in Lead Development, preferably for a biometrics CRO or consultancy.
Proven ability to establish, grow and maintain a client base.
Technical requirements: CRM experience (preferably Salesforce), Google applications (Google Meet, Gmail, Chat, Drive), Microsoft Office applications.
