Key Responsibilities:
Business Relationships
Develop and manage strategic relationships within the customer community to position the company for business wins.
Foster partnerships with industrial partners and competitors to ensure strategic alignment and information sharing.
Coordinate relationship development and management activities across the company, utilising approved processes and tools.
Business Promotion
Represent the company at industry conferences, events, committees, and societies.
Attend business meetings with prospective customers and partners, including regular international travel.
Business Strategy
Gather market intelligence to build a comprehensive understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
Maintain detailed knowledge of customer strategies and future needs to shape opportunities for the company.
Contribute to the development of sector-specific strategies.
Business Opportunities
Create and identify opportunities where the company can offer compelling solutions to win business.
Qualify market opportunities through customer relationships and internal BD & Sales processes.
Develop opportunities with potential customers and partners to ensure readiness for EOIs, ITTs, etc.
Provide capture management and bid management support.
Deputise for the UK Regional BD & Sales Manager when necessary.
Sales
Contribute to bid preparation and offer creation for customers.
Provide quotations to customers in response to RFQs.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience:
Proven experience in Business to Business Sales
Experience in Government Sales
Desirable Skills:
Understanding of the defence market and associated contracting models, including the common support model.
Knowledge of maritime navigation systems and their use at sea is beneficial but not essential.
